The United Kingdom (UK) consists of England, Wales, Scotland (who together make up Great Britain) and Northern Ireland. England is an island country situated in North-West Europe, on the island of 'Great Britain'. Covering two-thirds of Great Britain, England is the largest country on the island.

There is no government just for England, and hasn't been since 1707. The government, although seated in London, is in fact a UK government. The UK government is known as a 'Constitutional Monarchy' and a 'Parliamentary Democracy'. A 'Constitutional Monarchy' can be defined as a King or Queen that reigns over a country, but does not govern it. Their Queen is head of state, but does not run the country.

London

London is a city/town with a very large population in the country of England which is located in the continent/region of Europe.

Manchester

Manchester is located in England's North-West in the heart of the UK and is only a two hour train journey from London.

Brimingham

Birmingham is the second largest city of England. Located west of central England on the Plateau of Birmingham, which is 150 to 200 meters high.

Leeds

Leeds is a city/town with a medium population in the state/region of West Yorkshire, England which is located in the continent/region of Europe.

Nottingham

Nottingham is the thriving regional capital of the East Midlands. located, it is within easy reach of most of the country - London is 124 miles away, Manchester 71 miles and Birmingham 49 miles.

Coventry

Coventry is a city and metropolitan borough in the county of West Midlands in England. Coventry is the 12th largest UK city overall.

Sheffield

Sheffield is located fairly centrally in Britain in the metropolitan county of South Yorkshire.

Bristol

Bristol is the largest city in the south west of England, with a population of approximately half a million.

Liverpool

Liverpool basically is a city and a metropolitan borough situated in North West England. It is placed towards the eastern side of Mersey Estuary.
