    ANU College is the academic pathway provider for The Australian National University, Australia's highest ranked university and among the world's best. ANU College prides itself on the excellence of its teaching staff, with all subjects taught by specialist teachers and academics, a number holding PhD qualifications. The teachers have extensive experience teaching international students.

    • Is committed to providing personal service to the 350 international students that study at ANUC;
    • Is housed in a modern and well-positioned building on The Australian National University campus;
    • Has a close working relationship with ANU;
    • Allows students access to various facilities at ANUC, including a computer wireless network operating throughout the College;
    • Is accredited by NEAS (National ELICOS Accreditation Scheme), which ensures high standards and best practice. It is also a member of English Australia (EA).

    ANU College (ANUC) has a very close and collaborative relationship with The Australian National University and many of our students continue with their studies as undergraduates or postgraduates at the ANU once they have completed their ANUC English language and Foundation programs. The ANU College Foundation Studies Program is an excellent pathway into the ANU.  The subjects on offer within the Foundation Studies program have been specially designed to provide students with appropriate academic preparation for their intended ANU degree.  Upon successful completion of the Foundation Studies program and meeting the ANU entry requirements, entry to the student's chosen undergraduate degree course is guaranteed.

    FS Standard (2 semesters)

    The Standard Foundation Studies program requires students to complete eight subjects to graduate from the program, comprising: Academic English, Advanced Academic English and six degree-related and elective subjects.

    FS Extended (3 semesters)

    The Extended Foundation Studies program requires students to successfully complete the following units in their first semester, all of which are compulsory: Foundation English; History of Maths; Communication Studies; History Makers, and Computing Fundamentals. The second and third semesters of the course follow the same structure as the FS Standard program

    Other requirements

    Students must:

    1. Be at least 17 years old before they begin their studies at ANU College;
    2. Apply for a student visa to enroll in this course.

    Homestay Accommodation

    Students intending to enroll in the ANU should be aware that the University requires students to be at least 18 years of age within the first 6 weeks of the start of their degree program. Students staying in Homestay are provided with their own furnished room and 3 meals per day, 7 days a week (N.B. breakfast and lunch may be self-service at some homes).
