Perak

Perak is one of the 13 states of Malaysia. Perak takes its name from the silvery colour of the rich tin deposits for which it is renowned. Ipoh, the state capital of Perak, is known historically for its tin-mining activities. Today the state of Perak is known for its many fruit stalls selling the state’s famous Tambun pomelos and groundnuts. Another appealing characteristic of Perak is the imposing beauty of its limestone hills.
