    Programs

    Academic English (AE)

This program is for students who are planning to study at an Australian education institution or those who want a more academic focus to their studies. The higher levels of AE are designed for students who need to meet the English language admission requirement of University of South Australia, SAIBT, University College london (UCL) or Le Cordon Bleu.

Students applying for these institutions will not need to take the IELTS or other English language test if they successfully complete the AE programs at an appropriate level. Students will study for between 10 and 40 weeks, depending on their English level when they begin and the equivalent IELTS they require for their further studies.

AE develops the skills necessary for academic study, such as listening to lectures and note-taking, planning and writing essays and reports, and taking part in group discussions and spoken presentations.

CELUSA will also offer IELTS preparation courses for students planning to take the IELTS test. These courses will cover test-taking strategies and preparation at a range of levels.

NB All CELUSA programs are taught on-campus and are not available in external mode or as online study. Programs are assessed on a formal and informal basis.
