The TRA Migration Skills Assessment is an assessment pathway for applicants applying for permanent migration to Australia who require a skills assessment to determine whether they have skills and experience relevant to Australian industry standards for their nominated occupation. Applying for a TRA Migration Skills Assessment
To apply for a TRA Migration Skills Assessment you must use the TRA Migration Skills Assessment Application Form. You should check with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship before submitting an application to TRA to ensure you have identified the appropriate visa pathway (www.immi.gov.au).
Previous migration skills assessment pathway (Skilled Worker Program)
Because the Skilled Worker Program ceased on 30 June 2011, TRA will only accept Skilled Worker Program applications that are postmarked on or before 30 June 2011. All Skilled Worker Program applications we receive that are postmarked after 30 June 2011 will be returned unprocessed. We will continue to accept review applications for Skilled Worker Program outcomes as long as they are lodged within the timeframe specified in our correspondence. The below documents provide the application guidelines and assessment criteria for applicants seeking a review of a Skilled Worker Program outcome: The Offshore Skills Assessment Program is an assessment pathway for applicants applying for permanent migration to Australia. To apply under this program you must work in a nominated occupation and hold a passport from a nominated country.

TRA approved Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) do the skills assessments for this program on TRA’s behalf. Information on how to find a TRA approved RTO is contained in the Guidelines. You should make sure that this is the right skills assessment pathway for your needs. You can do this by checking with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship before making an application.
