Diploma of Engineering
Charles Darwin University offers the following diploma level engineering course (higher education):
Entry Requirements
Successful completion of one of the following:
- VET or TAFE award of certificate IV or higher
- Attainment of a STAT (Special Tertiary Admissions Test) score of 135 or greater
- CDU's Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP)
- At least 0.5 of one year full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma
- Northern Territory Certificate of Education (NTCE) or equivalent and a ATAR of 60 or higher
Associate Degree in Process Engineering
Charles Darwin University's Associate Degree in Process Engineering has been developed in close collaboration with industry and government to meet the demand of the resources and oil and gas industry of Northern Australia, as well as the South East Asian region. Delivery of the course is supported by staff and facilities of CDU's North Australian Centre for Oil and Gas. The course includes provides the necessary academic background and practical training for mid-level engineering employment, such as engineering technical officer or site supervisor in the minerals and oil and gas industry. It includes a 12 week hands-on work experience component. The course is offered in on-campus mode as well as through distance learning supplemented with on-campus residential activity. General description
The school offers two master by coursework degree programs:

Master of Engineering (2 years full time)
Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) Master of Engineering is offered to graduates wishing to upgrade their qualifications within specific areas of engineering:
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
The course combines coursework, industrial work experience and project work to provide interest and challenge to students. Project work may be based in industry, providing opportunities to engage with potential future employers. In addition to the technical knowledge expected in a postgraduate course, there is an emphasis on the themes of sustainability, creativity, teamwork and leadership throughout the program.
Master of Engineering Management (1 year full time)
The Master of Engineering Management course is specifically designed for commencing or practicing engineers who wish to upgrade their qualifications in the area of engineering management. The course includes subjects from engineering and business. It will allow graduates to consider more challenging areas of work.
Master of Engineering Management - Master of Business Administration Double Degrees (2 years full time)
The Master of Engineering Management may be combined with a Master of Business Administration (MBA). This combined degree course may be of interest to engineers wishing to upgrade their qualifications for leading managerial positions.
