Welcome to the School of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics (CSEM). We are one of the fastest growing computer science and engineering departments in the country offering accredited courses and best practice teaching, research and consulting in the areas of Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics and Statistics and many branches of Engineering. Located within the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the picturesque Bedford Park campus of Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia, we have around 70 staff and 600 students.

Our research and facilities are orientated to long-term, multi-person projects that each contribute to one or more of our overlapping research strengths and are focussed on two primary application areas:

Defence and National Security
Medical Devices and Technologies

We interact strongly with industry. There is a robust work placement scheme built into all of our undergraduate courses and this is kept relevant and focussed by an industry advisory committee made up of industry and government representatives.
