Wellington Institute of Technology (WelTec) is one of the largest polytechnics in the Wellington region and offers over 140 programmes across a broad spectrum of subjects with a wide range of national and international qualifications available. WelTec offers a learning environment that's as close to the real world as it gets. Students experience the reality of the working environment from day one. WelTec offers an experience for its students that's clear from the outset. The experience is relevant, practical and industry driven; it's real - from entry-level courses through to degree level. The motivation is also clear - it's occupation driven and the environment is supportive. WelTec's main campus is in Petone, located close to the beachfront, boutiques and trendy cafes, and only ten minutes drive from central Wellington. WelTec also has campuses in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch.
