School of Dentistry

The School of Dentistry at the University of Dundee is housed in the Dental School/Hospital  and is located on the University’s city campus. The Dental School, which was inaugurated in 1916, is at the forefront of research, teaching and clinical dental practice and benefits from being an integral part of the College of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing. The Dental School performs consistently well in league tables for both research and teaching.  The University of Dundee Dental School is a top UK dental school as noted in the Guardian University Guide 2012 and The Complete University Guide 2012.

The Dental School is situated in the heart of the Main University Campus, and therefore Dental postgraduate students are in close proximity with researchers and research opportunities in other parts of the University, as well as to library, recreational, culinary and sports facilities.

Dental postgraduate students in Dundee benefit from exposure to cutting edge research in a well established research environment throughout their period of study. There are also excellent clinical facilities for those students undertaking taught clinical programmes. Postgraduate students from many parts of the world work in a closeknit, integrated environment within the school with an active research culture & research opportunities including seminars, invited lectures and generic skills courses.
