    Foundation Studies at Lincoln University

    The Lincoln University Certificate of Foundation Studies course (LUFS) is a university entrance qualification designed and developed by Lincoln University to prepare students for university studies.

    • The programme has been developed for both school leavers and mature students
    • The programme is a proven pathway for international students
    • It is a bridging course between school and university and provides a solid foundation for study at tertiary level
    • The programme is taught in small classes in a supportive environment.  It includes an integrated approach to studies and has a focus on technology
    • It provides extensive learning and personal support
    • The course is being offered in New Zealand
    • The curriculum consists of eight subjects taught over two semesters
    • It is designed to encourage the development of personal study and communication skills as well as academic capabilities.

    While successful completion of the Certificate of Foundation Studies is a recognised University Entrance qualification, some universities have limited entry programmes and students applying for these may have additional requirements.

    Students completing the Certificate of Foundations Studies are admitted to any of the degree programmes at Lincoln University.

    The programme is the equivalent of two semesters of full-time study. It has three entry points per year February, July, November.
