- Length: 1 semester. Free fees for this qualification on all Waiariki campuses for Semester 2, 2012This certificate provides students with basic study and literacy skills, and core competency in functional numeracy, which will assist them in succeeding in a wide range of study contexts.
- Certificate in Tertiary Learning Skills
- Length: 1 year. This certificate provides students with skills, knowledge and core competencies that will assist them with learning at tertiary education level, and enable them to succeed in a wide range of study contexts.
- Certificate in Work and Life Skills
- Length: 1-2 years. This certificate prepares students with a range of disabilities for greater participation in work and community environments. Not all enrolled students will be able to complete the qualification in one year and are likely to take two or more years to complete this qualification.
