    WelTec foundational programmes have a strong focus on developing and supporting the individual learner.  The Certificate in Preparation for Tertiary Study is offered in conjuntion with Victoria University and Whitireia Polytechnic and is designed to help students learn skills in preparation for academic study, while the Certificate in Community and Vocational Learning Skills teaches employment skills, community intergration and independence skills.

    A 17 week, full-time Level 3 pathway to prepare students for higher level study, the Certificate in Preparation for Tertiary Study (Level 3) will additionally build students overall literacy and numeracy skills and will help students to clarify potential career pathways.   

    The certificate is designed to cater for those returning to study after a break of several years and for recent school leavers who plan to study at Level 4 or above.

     

    Certificate in Community and Vocational Learning Skills

    WelTec’s Certificate in Community and Vocational Learning Skills is a work-skill based programme for people who have a long-term illness, injury or disability and require targeted assistance to maximise their potential. Individually focussed, it will provide graduates with the skills, confidence and practical work experience to gain meaningful employment.

     

    Certificate of Achievement in Science Bridging (Anatomy and Physiology)

    This programme is not approved for Student Loans or Allowance.

    Gain an introductory understanding of human anatomy and physiology to prepare for further study in subjects such as Exercise Science, Beauty Therapy and Animal Care.
     
    Get the right start on your studies at WelTec with an introduction to anatomy and physiology. The Certificate of Achievement in Science Bridging (Anatomy and Physiology) (Level 2) will prepare you for further study at Level 3 and above in a tertiary institution, in programmes that require knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
     
    An ideal programme for school leavers and those returning to study, you will learn about the systems of the human body and it's various functions.  Find out about how the body moves, how it repairs itself and  learn about our body's nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory and digestive system.

     

    Certificate of Achievement in Engineering Foundations

    This programme is designed for those wanting to pursue studies at level 5 and above in engineering related diplomas or programmes requiring knowledge of physics, maths and engineering principles.

    Learn how to demonstrate knowledge of introductory physics and mathematics as well as principles of engineering, including mechanical systems, electrical systems, engineering graphics and design and how they are interrelated at an introductory level.

     

    Computing Made Easy (free self-paced computer courses)
     

    Computing Made Easy (CME) is a range of free courses to help you build confidence in using your computer, useful computer applications, the Internet and email.  Each course is self-paced and self-directed, allowing you to progress through a workbook at your own pace with helpful tutors on hand to assist. With no fees, no hidden costs (workbooks are yours to keep free of charge), no assessments and no exams Computing Made Easy is an opportunity to take charge of your learning and make the most of your computer.
