Their vision is to be an international leader in the provision of healthcare professionals who will then influence improvement in health outcomes through education and research. They collaborate with their partners in practice to empower this generation of nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals with the knowledge and skills to maximise the impact of education and research to influence health policy and service delivery.

Undergraduate studies

At the University of Dundee you will study nursing within a School of Nursing and Midwifery, and in one of three fields of nursing: adult, children's or mental health. You will also get a chance to undertake interdisciplinary learning with medical and dental students, or with social work students.

Their Undergraduate programmes provide shared learning across nursing fields, and also reflect the ever-changing face of health care in Scotland. All programmes provide both an academic and professional qualification; registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery is leading healthcare research to promote health, well-being, social participation and caring throughout the lifespan. We achieved outstanding results in the Research Assessment Exercise 2008, ranked 2nd in Scotland, with the majority of the School's research classed as 'internationally excellent' in terms of originality and significance.
