    English language proficiency is very important for a student to study in UK. If a student’s first language is not English, most institutions will ask for a qualification in English, or they may ask a student to sit a test. Each course has minimum entry requirements. Colleges and universities will look at an applicant’s qualifications to see if they meet those standards, but they will also be looking at their overall suitability for the course. If English is not a student’s first language, they will be required to successfully complete one of the following:An English preparatory programme

    • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
    • IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
    • English language GCSE (grade C or above)

    Aditionally, students need to subit all transcripts and academic sertificates awarded before. If not in English, all Academic transcripts and awards must be oficially translated.

    Reference letters are important selectin requirement for UK universities, most of the universities ask for submitting two or more reference letters or information from student's previous educatio provider or employers.

    Most of UK universities ask for a personal statement from the student in which students states the goals, ambitions and motivations of pursuing studies and the favorite program in the UK.
       
    All applicants applying for a master in management or Business Administration major must submit the result of Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). In addition to these tests, all students whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL) or the IELTS.

    Application Process
       
    A body called UCAS handles applications of international students for admissions to UK colleges or universities. This appliees for almost all Undergraduate programs.
    For Master's and PhD programs international students must apply directly through the university. They need to have the eligibility criteria fulfilled and then the paper work begins. Students can apply directly or through agents as well.
