UTS Scholarship
Description
UTS: Engineering offers six scholarships to high achieving International Students each semester, for the following courses:
- Bachelor of Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering Diploma in Engineering Practice
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
- Bachelor of Science in IT, Diploma in IT Professional Practice
Eligibility
Student who have:
- completed your first semester in Spring 2011 as a full-time international student (24 credit points) in any of the above three courses
- applied to receive the scholarship by: date to be announced
- achieved the highest average of all the applicants in your course with a minimum WAM of seventy per cent (70%)
- not received a scholarship from UTS: Engineering previously

The Scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement in the first semester of the degree.

IInternational Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS)
Ternational Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS)
Description
The International Postgraduate Research Scholarships program is funded by the Australian Government, Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR). The objective of the IPRS is to maintain and develop international research linkages and to attract top quality international postgraduate students to areas of research strength within Australian tertiary institutions. The UTS Research Strengthsare at the forefront of developing innovative solutions to real world problems. These strengths fall under the areas of Science and Technology and Society and Culture. The IPRS is extremely competitive and only a few are awarded per year. To be considered for the IPRS, you must qualify to commence a Higher Research Degree (HDR) at UTS in the year for which the IPRS is awarded.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the IPRS, you must:
- be an overseas student who is eligible to undertake a higher degree by research candidature within UTS's areas of research strengths, and
- be able to commence in full time enrolment for the first time in the year for which the IPRS is awarded, unless:
- you commenced your HDR a year before, due to the timing of your applications and subsequent enrolment were not able to apply for the IPRS for that year, or
- you have terminated any previous HDR enrolment at least six months of commencement
- not hold a research qualification regarded by UTS as equivalent to an Australian Research Doctorate degree or, if undertaking a Master by research degree, not hold a research qualification regarded as equivalent to or higher than an Australian Research Master's degree, and
- not have held an Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) scholarship within the two years prior to commencing the IPRS, and
- not be receiving a scholarship for which course tuition fee is a component under any scholarship scheme to which the Australian Government makes a substantial contribution

International Academic Excellence Scholarship
Description
UTS International offers scholarships for commencing international students enrolling in postgraduate coursework programs. International students commencing between Spring Semester 2011 and Spring Semester 2012 (inclusive) who meet the criteria will receive a scholarship. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit.
Eligibility
Future international students intending to undertake a postgraduate coursework program between Spring Semester 2011 and Spring Semester 2012 (inclusive).
Selection criteria
Academic achievement in most recently completed tertiary qualification recognised by UTS for entry into the UTS course.Endeavour Postgraduate Awards
Description
The Endeavour Postgraduate Award provides opportunities for high achievers from participating countries to undertake a postgraduate qualification at a Masters or PhD level either by coursework or research in any field of study in Australia. This Award, funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) provides financial support for up to 2 years for a Masters and up to 3 years for a PhD. The Scholarships are open to all fields of study available in tertiary institutions across Australia, including UTS. Candidates applying for this Award are advised to apply and gain admission to UTS before submitting their application for the Endeavour Postgraduate Awards.
