    International Scholarship

    • International Postgraduate Scholarship

International Postgraduate Scholarships are available to postgraduate degree applicants and are worth half the tuition fees (e.g. 50% discount on fees, for 2011/12 intake this amounts to between £3,560 and £5,090). The number of International Postgraduate Scholarships available annually is five. International Postgraduate Scholarships are awarded by the decision of the University Committee and are based on academic merit and social and community involvement.

    Criteria

Applications are welcome from international students who have achieved high results in their final degree classification and can demonstrate high academic achievement, active university, society and community involvement, and future aspirations to enhance the social and economic development of the applicant’s home country.

How applications for the International Postgraduate Scholarships are judged

International Postgraduate Scholarship applications are awarded on submission of the International Scholarship Application Form and relevant supporting documentation. The applications are reviewed in the month after the deadline by the Liverpool Hope University Student Finance Committee. Applications should demonstrate how you have actively contributed to the life of your previous university, how you are actively involved in your community and your society, and how you will contribute to the future social and economic development of your home country, plus how you will contribute to university life at Liverpool Hope.

    How to apply

Applicants must hold an offer of admission for a Liverpool Hope postgraduate taught degree programme and complete the International Scholarship Application Form with attached documentation (eg copy of final degree certificate and academic reference). If you do not hold an offer of admission you are not eligible.

    • Overseas Scholarships

Overseas Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit. Overseas Scholarships are available to both undergraduate degree and postgraduate (Masters) degree applicants. For undergraduates, the award is worth up to £3,000 (that is £1,000 award per year, subject to satisfactory academic progress); for postgraduates, the award is worth £1,000. The number of Overseas Scholarships available is unlimited.

    Criteria

    Undergraduate

Applications are welcome from international students who have achieved, in aggregate, first class marks in their higher secondary education and have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a Bachelors programme. If successful, the student will receive the £1,000 award each year, subject to satisfactory academic progress, £3,000 in total.

    Postgraduate

Applications are welcome from international students who have achieved first class results in their final degree classification and who have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a Postgraduate Taught Masters programme.

How applications for the Overseas Scholarships are judged

    Undergraduate

For undergraduate applicants, eligibility for the Overseas Scholarship is judged on the basis of the application to the chosen programme of study and the relevant supporting documentation. There is no need to submit a separate application form.
If an applicant is awaiting exam results or final transcripts/certificates then the assessment is made once these have been received.

    Postgraduate

For postgraduate applicants, eligibility for the Overseas Scholarship is judged on the basis of the application to the chosen programme of study and the relevant supporting documentation. There is no need to submit a separate application form.
If an applicant is awaiting exam results or final transcripts/certificates then the assessment is made once these have been received.

    How to apply

    Undergraduate

As the Overseas Scholarship is judged at the time of application or receiving the final transcript/certificates there is no need to complete a separate application form.

    Postgraduate

As the Overseas Scholarship is judged at the time of application or receiving the final transcript/certificates there is no need to complete a separate application form.

    • Commonwealth Shared Scholarship 2012

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme is a joint initiative between the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (with funding from Department for International Development), and UK universities, to support scholarships for students from developing Commonwealth countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the United Kingdom. One successful student will benefit from their full tuition fees, return air fares to and from the UK and monthly stipend being met jointly by the University and the CSC.

    Criteria

Applicants are open from candidates who met the requirements of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.

How the applications for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are judged

Candidates must first have an offer of admission from Liverpool Hope University, and then complete the online application form available through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission's Electronic Application System. The applications are reviewed in the month after the deadline by the Liverpool Hope University Scholarship Committee.
