    Duration: 2 Years & 8 Months Full-Time

    Bond University’s law program equips students for a career in the legal profession, business, industry or government, both within Australia and overseas. Its combination of excellent teaching, small classes and extensive legal skills program provides an exciting learning experience that both challenges students academically and prepares them practically for a legal career.

    Juris Doctor

    Duration: 24 subjects. Flexible part-time study options are available for domestic students only. The Bond University Post Graduate full-time load policy does not apply to this program. The Juris Doctor requires an enrolment load of 4 subjects every semester for Student Visa holders.

    The Juris Doctor (JD) program is a professional legal qualification designed to equip students for a career in the legal profession, business, industry or government, in Australia and overseas. The program features excellent teaching, small classes and an extensive legal skills program, which provides an exciting learning experience that challenges you academically and prepares you practically for a legal career. You will learn the following skills needed to practice law in a modern environment:

    • Legal research and analysis
    • Legal writing and drafting
    • Negotiation and dispute resolution
    • Advocacy and oral presentation
    • Client interviewing and communication

    Master of Laws (Legal Practice)

    Duration: 2 Semesters Full-Time; Flexible Part-Time Available

    Description

    The Master of Laws (Legal Practice) is an innovative program, which combines practical legal training (the PLT) with specialist postgraduate subjects in alternative dispute resolution or advocacy. The PLT program develops ‘lawyering’ skills, such as legal research, analysis and problem solving, legal writing and drafting, interviewing and oral communication, advising, advocacy, dispute resolution, professional ethics and conduct, and accounting. You are taught in a practical context in a simulated office environment.

    Master of Laws

    Duration: 2-3 Semesters Full-Time; Flexible Part-Time Available

    The Master of Laws (LLM) program provides students with a law background with a specialist postgraduate qualification. You may complete a generalist degree or specialise in one of the following areas:

    • Corporate and Commercial Law
    • Alternative Dispute Resolution
    • International Trade Law
    • Intellectual Property, Information Technology and E-Commerce
    • International Legal Practice
