    Bachelor of Laws (Graduate)

    The Bachelor of Laws (Graduate) is an accredited degree that focuses strongly on learning outcomes that have professional relevance and practical application. This course is designed to challenge students, exposing them to contemporary issues, the latest research and new ideas across diverse areas of the practice and application of law.

    The program encourages students to develop independent thought and critical analysis of legal issues, as well as an interest in law reform and an understanding of community legal problems.

    Bachelor of Laws

    The Bachelor of Laws focuses strongly on learning outcomes that have professional relevance and practical application. This course is designed to challenge students, exposing them to contemporary issues, the latest research and new ideas across diverse areas of the practice and application of law.

    Doctor of Philosophy

    The Doctor of Philosophy is a program of supervised original research. It culminates in the submission of a thesis that demonstrates the ability for critical analysis and research that makes a significant and original contribution to the knowledge and understanding of the field of study. It is a two to four-year full-time program offered either on campus at JCU’s Townsville and Cairns campuses or off campus.

    The off-campus option requires some attendance on campus for confirmation and exit seminars, and at least three weeks per year for consultation with the supervisor. This program is also available part time.
