The JD will be a three-year postgraduate coursework program involving the completion of 24 units (eight per full-time year), including a combination of compulsory and option units. Each compulsory unit will be taught over four hours per week, with each option unit involving three contact hours per week.
Admission requirements
Entry to the JD will be based upon the completion of an undergraduate bachelor’s degree with a grade point average of at least 5.5 (weighted average of approximately 65 per cent). However, places are limited, selection will be based on academic merit, and achieving the minimum entry requirement is not a guarantee of securing a place.
English language competence
Law requires an overall IELTS of 7.5, with a minimum score of 7.5 for reading and writing and a minimum of 7.0 for speaking and listening.

3 years (BA), 4 years (BPhil(Hons))
This major should allow students to understand, apply and adapt a coherent body of knowledge, the underlying principles and concepts in socio-legal studies and the adjacent areas of law and criminology in a range of contexts to a level necessary for many areas of vocational and professional employment.
