    Conrad Grebel University College is affiliated with, and is situated on the campus of, the University of Waterloo. The College offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Church Music and Worship, English, Fine Arts, History, Mennonite Studies, Music, Peace and Conflict Studies, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Sociology. The College also has a residence which houses 142 UW students a term in a dynamic community that has been ranked the best in Ontario.

    The Graduate Theological Studies program of Conrad Grebel University College focuses on the study of Christianity and the mission of the Christian church in the world from an Anabaptist-Mennonite perspective within an ecumenical context. The student body reflects this ecumenical character. The Master of Theological Studies is a two-year interdisciplinary degree program designed for students preparing for further graduate work, for ministry, or for personal enrichment.

    All students who live and study at Conrad Grebel University College are registered at, take classes throughout, and graduate from, the prestigious University of Waterloo. In both the residence and classrooms at Grebel you will find students from all faculties of the University of Waterloo. Some take most of their classes at Grebel, while others just take one or two that are of special interest. Over 2,800 UW students take classes at Grebel each year, making the College a diverse community. In the residence, approximately 50% of the students are Mennonite, the rest come from a variety of denominational backgrounds.

    ...but you approach your studies in a unique way.

    By living and/or studying at Conrad Grebel University College throughout your years at the University of Waterloo, you are able to lay an Anabaptist/Christian template on your studies. You don't have to leave your faith questions behind as you enter university.

    It has long been recognized by the UW community that the four affiliated University Colleges (Conrad Grebel University College, St. Paul's, Renison University College and St. Jerome's University - all of which have residences and are teaching facilities of the University) play an important role in making the University of Waterloo the success that it is.

     

     

    Academics:

    Undergraduate Studies

    The undergraduate academic program of Conrad Grebel University College complements the programs of the University of Waterloo. The College teaches courses in the following areas: Interdisciplinary Arts/English/Fine Arts, History, Mennonite Studies, Music, Church Music and Worship, Peace and Conflict Studies, Philosophy, Religious Studies and Sociology. Upwards of 2,800 students from across the UW campus also take courses each year at the College.

    Graduate Theological Studies

    Conrad Grebel University College and the University of Waterloo offer a conjoint graduate program leading to a Master of Theological Studies degree. The TS program is focused on a study of Christianity and the mission of the Christian church in the world, and is offered from an Anabaptist/ Mennonite perspective, within an ecumenical context.

    Master in Peace and Conflict Studies

    Combining rigorous interdisciplinary scholarship with concrete application, MPACS is a vibrant academic program that will empower students with the knowledge, research, and practical skills needed to contribute to nonviolent peacebuilding efforts. MPACS places a unique focus on the pivotal role that individuals within civil society play as catalysts for peace. The MPACS program will be a course-based, professional graduate program open to both full-time and part-time students beginning in the fall of 2012.

    Continuing Education

    In addition to teaching classes at the undergraduate and graduate level, Conrad Grebel University College is constantly working towards continuing education and actively researching areas of interest.
