    U of T at Scarborough

The University of Toronto Scarborough (also known as U of T Scarborough or UTSC) is a satellite campus of the University of Toronto. Based in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the campus is set upon suburban parkland in the residential neighbourhood of Highland Creek. It was established in 1964 as Scarborough College, a constituent college of the Faculty of Arts and Science. The college expanded into a mid-sized university campus following its designation as an autonomic division of the university in 1972.

Academics of the campus are centered on a variety of undergraduate studies in the disciplines of arts, sciences, and management, whilst also hosting limited postgraduate research programs. Its neuroscience program was the first to be offered in the nation. The campus is noted for being the sole provider of cooperative education programs, as well as the Bachelor of Business Administration degree, in the university. Through affiliation with Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology, it also offers enrolment in joint programs.

The campus has traditionally held the annual F. B. Watts Memorial Lectures, which has hosted several internationally renowned scholars, since 1970. Its nuclear magnetic resonance laboratory was the first of its kind in Canada, allowing the campus to conduct influential research in the environmental sciences. The original building of the campus was internationally acclaimed for its architectural design. The Dan Lang Field is also situated at the campus, home to the baseball team of the Varsity Blues, the intercollegiate sports club of the university.

UTSC offers unlimited possibilities for personal and professional development whether you are a student, faculty, staff or a member of the broader community.

As a key campus of Canada's number one research-intensive university, UTSC offers a wide range of program options that span the arts, sciences, management and teacher education, including unique programs that blend disciplines and provide opportunities to apply this knowledge outside the University.

Our campus also has more than 200 clubs that represent the full spectrum of academic and social interests, and help our students harness and experience their passions and interests.

Because we know the value of keeping a campus vibrant, we are expanding and redeveloping our campus with the opening of the brand new Instructional Centre. It contains leading-edge technology and spaces designed to enhance learning and student life.

We are also preparing to host the athletes of the 2015 Pan Am Games with the creation of the new state-of-the-art Aquatics and Athletics Complex. It features Olympic-sized swimming pools and a wide range of wellness and training facilities that will benefit our community for decades to come.

Our expansion efforts will enable us to transform the surrounding area into an academic and cultural hub in the eastern Greater Toronto Area and further enhance our reach and impact.

The campus is comprised of nine departments, as follows:
