University of New Brunswick
University of New Brunswick
Founded in 1785, UNB offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in more than 60 disciplines and continuing education in a variety of fields.
At UNB, we bring a diverse group of students together with our nationally recognized professors to learn in small classes and labs.
Our campuses are located in two New Brunswick cities: Fredericton and Saint John. Fredericton, the provincial capital, was named one of the Top 7 Intelligent Communities by the New York-based Intelligent Communities Forum. Saint John, New Brunswick's financial and industrial centre, is emerging as an energy hub for the Eastern Seaboard.
UNB has among the best student-to-faculty ratios of Canada’s comprehensive universities, according to Maclean’s magazine. We offer world-class programs while maintaining a small-university experience.
Offering full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate degrees in arts, science, business administration, computer science, nursing, engineering, education, forestry, law and kinesiology, as well as certificates and diplomas, UNB’s programs will help you achieve your dreams.
In 2010-11, UNB celebrated its 225th anniversary. We’re proud to be one of the first public universities in North America. We continue to develop innovative programs and conduct world-class research.
We’re excited about our future and we want you to be a part of it.
Academic Units, Schools and Colleges:
- Campus Of Fredericton
UNB Fredericton is located on the banks of the St. John River. The campus is well-known for its colourful fall foliage, Georgian style red-brick buildings and a very steep hill. UNB Fredericton has shared the "College Hill" with St. Thomas University (STU) since 1964, when the former St. Thomas College moved from Chatham, NB (now Miramichi).
