    ACU's School of Arts and Sciences (QLD) campus (McAuley at Banyo)

    The School focuses on teaching and research in Humanities, Performing and Visual Arts and Social Sciences. It comprises staff experts in a range of disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas:

    In addition, the School of Arts and Sciences (QLD) also offers a Distance Education course (Associate Degree in Social Science in Aged Care and  Residential Care* (for Boarding Schools / Hostels*).

    The School offers students a broad choice of subjects that generate multiple unique specialisations. These specialisations make graduates suitable for employment in a diverse range of industries. The School aims to provide students with high-level communication skills in concert with expert technical knowledge in their chosen speciality. These attributes equip graduates from the School with the flexibility demanded of employees in the current national and global work environments.

    School of Arts & Sciences (NSW/ACT)

    The School of Arts and Sciences is noted nationally for the high quality of its teaching and the graduates it produces. Graduates of the School of Arts and Sciences are well equipped to serve the wider community in its ethical, cultural, scientific and commercial development. Undergraduate degree courses are offered in the:

    • Bachelor of Arts,
    • Bachelor of Arts (Psychology),
    • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business,
    • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Social Work,
    • Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design,
    • Bachelor of Environmental Science.

    In the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business Program students are able to combine an Arts degree with a Business degree in Accounting, Human Resource Management or Marketing. There is also a Certificate and Diploma in Liberal Studies. ACU provides graduates of the Australian Catholic University or other universities with the opportunity to further their studies. Graduate degree programs are offered in Visual Arts and Design.

    School of Arts & Sciences (VIC)

    The School of Arts and Sciences (VIC) is a dynamic school with staff committed to providing our students with a valuable education in the arts and social sciences. The Bachelor of Arts courses (3-year Pass and/or an additional Honours year) offer a broad range of units, great for anyone seeking a liberal arts education and the development of skills to broaden career opportunities or lay the foundation for further specialised study. 

    Our arts courses are designed to produce knowledgeable, articulate, innovative graduates skilled in research, logical thought, clear expression and ethical decision making in the disciplines of the arts, humanities, technology, and the social, physical, and biological sciences. The Honours year prepares students for postgraduate study in their chosen discipline. The specific units and structure may vary from campus to campus.
