  • Art at Curtin University

The Department of Art is a major centre for visual arts education in Australia as well as internationally. Our students have access to first class facilities and technical support for practical work in a wide range of media. In addition to this our students have ample opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience in presenting art work to the public through the John Curtin Gallery; the largest and best equipped exhibition space of any University in Australia, and through the Department's links with local art agencies and institutions.

Are you are out of sync with your degree and need to complete a unit or two? The answer may be to enrol into Summer School.

    Design Courses

The highlight of my experience at Curtin is the industry professionals that I've been able to meet. I've met some amazing designers and creatives, and made great contacts who are already giving me insight into life in fashion outside of university. I've had volunteer involvement at fashion shows since first year, including StyleAid and the Fashion Graduation Show, all of which have been big learning curves for me. There have been opportunities to work with designers and photographers that I've been able to be involved in, including one designer who I am now doing work experience with.
