Food & Nutritional Sciences

The Food Science and Nutrition program aims to produce graduates having:

• Scientific knowledge in the food science and nutrition disciplines;
• Competence in practical methodologies appropriate to the profession of food science and nutrition;
• Capability to interpret, analyse and present data;

Biomedical Science

UB offers opportunities into the exciting world of biomedicine, genetics, human disease and health issues. Students are provided with the skills and knowledge to gain employment into this growth industry. Students will engage in practical exercises and work experience opportunities that ensure graduates have both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for a diverse range of careers or further study.

Human Movement & Sport Sciences

The Human Movement & Sport Sciences undergraduate and Postgraduate programs are tailor made by school staff, who are in touch with industry bodies and understand the expectations that are placed on graduates entering the workforce. This means our programs are regularly reviewed to be consistent with industry standards and our graduates are best prepared for working in the current sporting industry.

We house all three disciplines of Physical Education, Exercise & Sport Science and Sport Management, under the one roof. This promotes the sharing of knowledge and expertise amongst staff, students and researchers.
