Ranking According to the most recent government’s official ranking system MyRA, UniMAP ranked fifth amongst all 20 Malaysian public universities. Between 2003 and 2010, it accumulated RM 33.5 million (approximately 7.7 million Euro or 6.9 million GBP) worth of research grants including from abroad. UniMAP’s research products have won hundreds of gold, silver and bronze medals in more than 20 exhibitions and competitions held in Malaysia and overseas, including in Geneva, Brussels, Warsaw, London, Seoul, and Pittsburgh. In Webometric’s ‘Ranking of Repositories’, it is placed at number 239 in the world; in ‘EduRoute’, it is number 749 in the world and number 4 in Malaysia. Measured against SCORPUS, UniMAP is number 10 amongst Malaysian public universities. | |||
Schools From its beginnings of two schools offering two undergraduate engineering degree programmes — Microelectronic Engineering and Computer Engineering — UniMAP now offers 23 programmes leading to B. Eng and B. Business and six programmes leading to diploma (Engineering), offered through eight engineering schools and one business school. In addition, it has 12 postgraduate programmes leading to MSc (Engineering) and Ph.D.
