Faculty of Biosciences and Bioengineering (FBB)

In 2006, the university has granted the establishment of the Faculty of Biosciences and Bioengineering with the endorsement of the Ministry of Higher Education. The Faculty of Biosciences and Bioengineering overall  mission is to discover new scientific knowledge and to apply the insights gained from basic science studies to further advance biotechnology strategies.
Students are taught generic skills, management and ethics. In addition, emerging areas such as proteomics,  genomic, biotransformation,  bioinformatics, biomolecular science, gene therapy and nanobiotechnology are also taught to keep UTM’s graduate abreast with the ever expanding fields in biosciences. This will prepare the students for the broadest opportunity throughout every segment of the industry.
