Electrical Engineering Electrical Engineering education has always been dynamic and in tune with the current development as well as innovations in creating new technology. In allignment with its motto 'Always together with Technological Advancements', the Faculty of Electrical Engineering now offers six full time and one part time programmes and is still expanding. Programs include: Postgraduate MASTER Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (EE780) Master of Science in Telecommunications and Information Engineering (EE770) Undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Electrical (EE221)
Mechanical Engineering The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was established in 1996. Earlier it was known as the Department of Mechanical Engineering under the School of Engineering when its first programmed was offered in 1968. Started with Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a student number of 7,the faculty has since grown to become one of the most successful engineering faculties in UiTM with student enrolment exceeding 1500 per year. The faculty now offers a total of six programmed in three levels which are one programmed at diploma level (EM110), two degree level programmed (EM220, EM221) and three postgraduate level programmed (EM780, EM774, EM980). Beside the Shah Alam Campus, The diploma programmed is only offered at the UiTM Penang Branch Campus. There are plan to extend the diploma programmed to other UiTM Branch Campuses. Programs:
Chemical Engineering The Faculty of Chemical Engineering was established in June 2003. It started as a department under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering when the programme of Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Chemical was first introduced in June 2000. In parallel with the country’s move towards a more industrialized nation especially in the chemical sub-sector, the faculty with its outstanding list of lecturers and excellent laboratory facilities, aims to be a leading institution in producing semi-professional and professional, innovative and ethical chemical engineers. Civil Engineering The Faculty of Civil Engineering for Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia was established in 1967. It started by providing courses in Civil Engineering at the Diploma level for Institiut Teknologi MARA. Students who have completed the Diploma were given options to continue their studies to obtain a Higher National Diploma. At present the Faculty of Civil Engineering consists of four Centres of Study, namely ; Structural Engineering and Computing ; Geotechnical, Transportation and Surveying ; Water Resources and Environmental Systems : and Construction Engineering and Project Management. The specialization in the diploma and master levels evolve from these centres of study. The Centres have also witnessed a tremendous in the number of post graduates at both Master and PhD levels.
