The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Mechanical engineering in particular applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. Faculty of Chemical and Natural Resources Engineering The Faculty of Chemical and Natural Resources Engineering (FKKSA) of UMP was established in 2002 with the aim of providing engineering programmes in the field of chemical and natural resources engineering. The faculty is also tasked to embark on research and development activities, particularly in the area of fine and specialty chemicals, chemical process up-scaling and biotechnology and gas technology-related processes in order to generate expertise relevant to the needs of the industry.
Faculty of Civil Engineering & Earth Resources Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals,dams, and buildings.Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline after military engineering.
The Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering The Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering UMP was established in January 2002(formerly known as Kolej Kejuruteraan & Teknologi Malaysia KUKTEM). The prime objective of this faculty is to become a renowned centre of excellence for academics as well as skills and competency training in the field. Since our university is located in the East Coast Industrial Corridor of Peninsular Malaysia, we are more focused in the area of chemical, petrochemical and manufacturing industry.
Faculty of Computer Systems & Software Engineering Faculty of Computer Systems & Software Engineering was established on 16 February 2002 to produce knowledgeable, high skilled and competitive graduates within the sphere of software engineering, system and computer network. At the beginning, the faculty had two fields which are Software Engineering and Networking.
Department of Manufacturing Engineering Department of Manufacturing Engineering has been established in 2008 to support Malaysia commitment to improve the economy through manufacturing and services sectors. Based on Malaysia’s Third Long-term Plan Framework from 2002 until 2010, the government has recognized the need for highly skilled professional workers to ensure the success of National Industrial Plan (NIP). | |||
