The Accommodation Service at Victoria University can help you make the right choice and find the accommodation you want. We are here to help you make the most of your time at Victoria. We process applications for all the halls of residence, arrange homestays for international students and offer advice about a range of other accommodation options.

    Halls of Residence

Victoria University will have 15 halls of residence in 2012 providing accommodation to full time Victoria University students. The 15 halls are of varying sizes, locations, configurations and prices. Not all halls are suitable for all students. The catered halls give priority to first year students around 18-20 years of age. There are self-catered halls that accommodate first year students but most of the self-catered halls give priority to more mature students.

Please check any priority stated for your preferred halls before submitting your application form. There are generally more applications than places available for all of the halls. So you are more likely to be offered a place if you are in the priority group for the halls you apply for. You can find more information about individual halls by selecting them on the menu on the left. You can visit most of the halls if you make an appointment with the hall so that there is someone available to show you around and answer any questions. Or, if you wish to visit more than one hall on the same day, Applicants who gained NCEA Level 2 with Merit in 2010 or are awarded a Victoria Excellence Scholarship and complete their hall application by 1 October are guaranteed a place in a hall in 2012.
