    Art at Canterbury University

    The College of Arts has established 20 new scholarships to provide an enhanced learning experience for high achieving students studying in 2012. These scholarships will be available to school leavers and previously enrolled students returning to study any undergraduate or honours degree in the College.

    Subjects and Degrees Taught in the College of Arts

    There are four degrees and over 40 subjects on offer in the College of Arts. Have a look through this page and see which degrees or subjects interest you. For each subject you can click through to more information and see what courses are available.

    Bachelor of Arts (BA)

    The Bachelor of Arts is a three year degree that allows students to major in one or more of over 30 subject areas in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The degree is the most popular offered at the University as the flexible structure allows students to tailor a course of study to their own individual interests.

    Subjects

    Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)

    The Bachelor of Fine Arts is a four year degree specialising in the following visual arts and design subjects: Film, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture. Practical studio courses are combined with a wide range of courses of your choice from other degrees in the University.

    Bachelor of Music (MusB)

    The Bachelor of Music is a three year degree concentrating entirely on music.

    Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

    The Bachelor of Social Work is a four year professional degree which involves two years of general courses in social work and the social sciences and two years of specialised social work course and practical fieldwork.
