    Science at Victoria University of Wellington

    The Faculty of Science presents an exciting range of study options from nanotechnology to submarine volcanoes, the origins of the universe to how we think, and more. Victoria University has a central place in Wellington, the Science Capital of New Zealand. We make the most of ongoing collaborations with local Crown Research Institutes, healthcare providers and government departments to give our students access to the breadth of opportunities that a career in science offers. The Faculty of Science offers the following undergraduate degrees:

    In addition, the Graduate Diploma in Science is available for students who already have a degree in any subject but wish to pursue further study in science.

    Postgraduate Study

    The Faculty of Science offers exciting and challenging postgraduate programmes in an extensive range of topics. From the one year Graduate Diploma in Science to a full PhD, our qualifications will ensure you are fully equipped for a rewarding career in your chosen area of science. The combination of excellence in teaching, world-class facilities and top-level research supervision, all provided in a friendly, supportive environment, makes science at Victoria a great experience.

    Our collaborative links to Wellington-based research institutions such as Crown Research Institutes (CRIs), see many students conducting their research projects in conjunction with scientists at the CRIs, or employed there as summer interns. Shared laboratory and research equipment extends what is available on campus. Victoria has a central place in the scientific community of Wellington, the Science Capital of New Zealand.
