Unitec Inst of Technology
Unitec Institute of Technology
At Unitec we are passionate about the transformative power of education. Through vocational and applied professional education and practically orientated research, Unitec equips people to realise their aspirations, and make a real contribution to their communities. As an educational provider in tune with the changing needs of the city, Unitec will change and grow with Auckland. To play our part in the social and economic development of Auckland we must answer the needs of industry and our communities. In this changing and increasingly complex environment the demands is for a new breed of talent with new ways of thinking. People who have:
- the ability to work across functional boundaries and in changing environments;
- the ability to work with and relate to a diverse range of people;
- not just technical competence, but broader character attributes.
To meet this demand Unitec is establishing a unique educational offering by building on the core attributes of practicality and accessibility while adding a boldness and creativity that challenges the learning process and pushes us and our students to achieve more. By relooking, rethinking and redesigning the learning experience we are creating an inventive place with an immersive experience for students and staff. An experience and that provides a meaningful pathway to qualifications and careers for students.
