California State University, San Bernardino, also known as Cal State San Bernardino or CSUSB is a public university and one of the twenty three general campuses of the California State University system.

Rankings CSUSB ranks No. 1 among the 23 California State University campuses in first-to-second-year retention of African American students and ranked No. 3 in the retention of Latino students. CSUSB is ranked 12th in the nation in awarding bachelor's degrees to Hispanics and 20th in awarding master's, according to the May 4 issue of The Princeton Review. CSUSB is also listed as seventh overall in awarding bachelor's degrees in protective services to Hispanic students. | |||
Programs Five academic colleges at Cal State San Bernardino offer more than 70 undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees and certificates, giving students the opportunity to find the right major for them. CSUSB also provides access to university degrees, certificate programs, professional development and personal enrichment programs through its College of Extended Learning. The university offers 100 degree, credential and certificate programs and is organized into six academic colleges:
CampusThe main campus sits on 441 acres (178 ha) in the suburban University District of San Bernardino, California, United States, with a branch campus of 40 acres (16 ha) in Palm Desert, California, opened in 1986. A new College of Education building opened in 2008. The Santos Manuel Student Union has doubled in size in recent years, and a new 35,000-square-foot (3,300 m2) Student Recreation and Fitness Center was completed in 2007. Other recently constructed facilities include the Social and Behavioral Sciences and Chemical Sciences buildings. | |||
