    Universiti Kuala Lumpur-Computer & IT

Formerly known as Institute Infotech MARA Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) has been at the forefront in providing IT education since 1982. It started off as the Electronic Data Processing (EDP) School of MARA. Its main objective was to train Bumiputera students in computer programming. The EDP school was the first approved external training centre of the National Computing Centre (NCC) of United Kingdom. The initial certificate level programme was an excellent platform for the development of its diploma programmes. In its two decades of growth, four types diploma were developed to cater to the differing interest of students in the various fields of Information Technology. At present, MIIT offers degree courses and diplomas in Information Technology, Multimedia, Computer Networking and Animation. The credibility of MIIT programmes is proven by the high employability rate of its graduates and the achievement of its students in national and international IT competitions. The upgrading of MIIT as a branch campus of Universiti Kuala Lumpur on 1st September 2003 will indeed give it greater impetus to achieve its goal of producing the best IT Technocrats in the world.
