University of Technology MARA

Currently, the faculty is located at the Science and Technology Complex, UiTM main campus in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The faculty was established in May 2006 coincided with 50th Anniversary of UiTM. The mission of the faculty is to enhance greater knowledge and global competitiveness in dental profession which play a pivotal role in all levels of society through an excellent dental programme and conducive educational environment.

On Going Research 

Members of the faculty are actively involved in several research areas i.e. tissue healing and regeneration, implant-retained dentures study, dental genetic and oral cancers. The faculty has secured 8 research grants since the year of 2007, four are from Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MOSTI), one is from Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) under FRGS scheme, two are from Geran Penyelidikan Dana Kecemerlangan and one is from Dana Kecemerlangan UiTM. The projects funded under these grants would encourage faculty’s members to participate in broadly defined scholarly activity and monitor the latest science, and provide dental undergraduate and postgraduate students with an appreciation for oral health research.
