Technical University of Malaysia Melaka (UTem)

Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) or Technical University of Malaysia Malacca is a public university located in Durian Tunggal, Melaka, Malaysia.

It is the pioneer in the use of the "Practice and Application Oriented" teaching and learning method for tertiary level technical education in Malaysia.

As a Focus University, UTeM boasts strengths in technical fields – namely Engineering, IT, and Management Technology. UTeM has cemented a reputation of being a source of high-quality engineering graduates with the capability of meeting the requirements of high-tech industries. UTeM also has research competencies in areas that it has identified as being key to enhancing the University’s unique proposition and also contributes to the nation such as Green Technology, Systems Engineering, Human-Technology Interaction, and Emerging Technology.

Campuses

Located in the UNESCO world heritage city of Malacca, Set within 766 acres of lush verdant landscape boasting state-of-the art facilities in all its seven faculties.

UTeM Main Campus covers more than 725 acres in the edge of a bustling historical city of Melaka. Located in Durian Tunggal; students, staff and visitors enjoy a peaceful, eco-friendly environment, with easy proximity to one of the state's fastest-growing metropolitan areas.

The City Campus is located in the heart of historical city of Melaka. Situated along the famous Jalan Hang Tuah, the City Campus comprises of Faculty of Technology Management & Technopreneurship (FPTT), University Press, Centre for Teaching and Learning (PPP), Centre for Continuous Learning (PPB) and library.

Due to the rapid development of the university, the Industry Campus is utilised to accomodate the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the university’s latest  Faculty of Engineering Technology which will be admitting its first batch of students in September 2011.
